Juliet+Brad+Ludo

I was lucky enough to be able to take some photos of Juliet and her beautiful baby bump when we stayed at Brad's Piha bach for a weekend away. Yay sunsets and silhouettes!

Quite busy

We have been quite busy lately - going on lots of holidays! It's been a great summer and we've done heaps of cool trips away. But this being a mother-of-two thing takes a lot of time. And I haven't really been able to enjoy my evenings by myself on the computer like I had become accustomed to. So it's all been a bit quiet on the coraliebee photography front.

I did manage to take a few quick photos of my sister and her family while we were on holiday over Christmas. It was a bit of a desperation photo shoot. The few minutes when no one was asleep, grumpy, fishing or hung over. And it was a week or so after camping with the most basic of facilities (i.e. solar shower only). So I'm sure my sister would have preferred a bit more cosmetic preparation first. But they don't have a family photo and I told them they needed one. So basically I forced them into this. Here are a few shots.

The McGarrigle family

My first official photo shoot for this year was a great experience with this enthusiastic family! One boy who posed like a pro, and the other who I had to chase around a pole to steal a snap, and one beautiful very well loved little five-month-old sister. Also, grandparents visiting from the UK made it a very busy morning.

(Max assisted me. He didn't mind me running around and squishing him one little bit.)

One Month

It almost seems surreal having these two beautiful kiddies, the time has flown by just so fast. Max had his one month birthday while we were on our Christmas holiday at our bach. Two years ago, Alia also had her one month birthday at our bach. Here are comparison photos of them both on the same spot at the same age.

Max

I haven't taken anywhere near as many photos of him as I expected. But I should have known second babies get less camera time with a toddler to take the limelight.  When he's not feeding or crying, he's asleep; and that's when I get to play with Alia properly. Here are a few photos of Max from the last few weeks when I've had the energy and when they've both been asleep.

We're still here

I have been spending my hours as restfully as I can, so haven't had much computer time in the last week. But we're here, and loving our time learning about Max and how to be a family of four.

Here's just a few of my beautiful kiddies. We love his soft spikey/receding/mohawk hair. Although it's completely impossible for a photo to show how incredibly SOFT newborns are. And how good they smell.
And my big almost two-year-old girl Alia is fantastic with Max, and being super helpful for me.
